Food Industry

Pandemic transformed many market assets, but packaging still plays a crucial role in today’s industrial environment and will continue to be essential in the future.

Actually, Covid-19 gave a new boost to the packaging industry and all the major companies have been pushing even harder to meet their set targets in terms of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) reduction, based on a more appropiate use of packaging materials and development of innovative, sustainable solutions.

The new packaging challenges are mainly focused on replacing plastics with eco-sustainable, biodegradable and 100% recyclable materials.

Consumers are more and more environmentally aware, and sustainability has now become paramount in order to be competitive, as well as to fulfill ethical, environmental and social responsibilities.
